Headteachers Welcome
Welcome
Welcome to Bullers Wood School for Boys
I am delighted to welcome you to Bullers Wood School for Boys, an exciting, mainstream non-selective secondary school for Bromley and a member of the Inicio Educational Trust. We are a school where pupils feel happy and safe, and our community enjoy and benefit from relationships that are warm, welcoming and respectful.
Our School opened in September 2018 providing 180 places for boys living in the local area and has grown to accommodate 900 students from Years 7 – 11. We are proud to be oversubscribed for places, demonstrating that we have become the school of choice for many in our local area. While we are an 11 to 16 school, our ambition is for the vast majority of our students to progress on to Bullers Wood Sixth Form at the end of Year 11.
Our mission is to ensure that every boy achieves and enjoys success within a culture of high aspiration and traditional values of courtesy and respect. We provide a safe, supportive and stimulating learning environment, taught by teachers that are passionate and able to convey their knowledge effectively and with enthusiasm. Those working in our school focus relentlessly on improving the achievement and opportunities for our students. Through our enrichment and extra-curricular provision, we actively seek out opportunities for each boy to find his niche.
We provide an academic curriculum with an emphasis on the EBacc suite of subjects (English, Maths, Sciences, Humanities, Languages), the Arts and Sport. We believe that qualifications in these subjects are essential for our boys to progress successfully onto the next stage of their careers. Our curriculum is also responsive to the needs of individuals when and where necessary.
Our vision of ‘healthy, happy, resilient and successful’ pupils guides every aspect of school life. This means that our academic provision is underpinned by a strong and caring pastoral team that ensures that each boy is happy, cared for and known by staff, allowing them to develop into well-rounded and successful young men.
We hope you and your sons will want to share in and be part of our community.
